Full Council Votes on Northside Development Plan Tonight
La Crosse mayor Tim Kabat is well aware that TIF districts in La Crosse have been the target of plenty of criticism. Some of it deserved. But Kabat says there’s also good uses for TIF financing. Like the latest proposal for one of the special taxing districts on the northside surrounding the former Trane Plant 6.
And, Kabat says, it’s critical to establish the TIF to get development underway. The full council votes on the new TIF at a meeting tonight.
