Stauffer Park Dedication Today In Sparta

A new playground at Lawrence Lawson Elementary School in Sparta will honor a

teacher who passed away in 2011. The Amy Stauffer Memorial Playground will be dedicated at 4 p.m. today at the school. Principal Missy Herek says this is a day that many have been waiting for. She says the work and dedication of students, staff, the community and Lawrence-Lawson PTO to make this happen is acknowledged.

For the past two school years, the Lawrence-Lawson PTO and staff have been working with students to create the Amy Stauffer Memorial Playground. Their goal was to honor Stauffer’s legacy and celebrate the children in the community.
