New Voter ID Bill in the Works for Wisconsin

Some Wisconsin lawmakers are sick of waiting on the court process.  Republican state rep Mark Born is among those who are pushing a new voter ID proposal in the state while the current law is stalled in the courts.

Born’s proposal mirrors that of Indiana’s state voter ID law which has been upheld by the US Supreme Court.  It does contain some exceptions to the voting identification requirement for those who struggle to get an ID.
