Drug Drop Boxes Working In Sparta

Sparta Police Chief Mike Kass gave his annual report to the city council

there this week and one highlight was that the drug drop off box they were supplied with 6 months ago has been a huge success. He gave us some of the details on the progress.

People can drop off unused or expired prescriptions and over the counter medications……no questions asked. The goals of this program are to keep drugs off the street, prevent overdoses and accidental poisonings, and avoid environmental contamination.
