Gate Installation Begins in City Ramps
The city of La Crosse is clearly serious this time about getting the parking gates in operation. City workers this morning began installing the aluminum gates in city ramps. The ticketing machines have been in place for months but the city’s parking utility board has delayed implementation of paid parking for multiple reasons. Two of the city’s parking ramps will begin charging for parking on Monday while gates at the city’s Jay street ramp will wait while conflicts with Holiday Inn parking needs are addressed. Understanding that some of the gates will likely get damaged, the city apparently already has replacements ready.
