Deal to Quit for Arrested Cop

An agreement to remove a police officer from the force in La Crosse appears to be on the way.  The city council has agreed to a severance arrangement for police sergeant Alan Iverson.  Iverson was arrested in February for making threats to his family.  He’s been on administrative leave since.  The department wants him gone but firing an officer can be a long process that involves the city’s police and fire commission.  Terms of the severance have not been disclosed but will be if Iverson agrees to the deal.
