Rollout Of Ramp Ticket Machines Could Be Set Today

Those idle ticket gates installed in La Crosse’s parking ramps could begin working any day now.

And this afternoon, we could find out exactly what day the equipment will be turned on. The city parking utility board is scheduled to set a date for activitating the ticket machines, as part of its meeting today. Mayor Tim Kabat told the board last month that he hopes charging for hourly parking will help pay for proper maintenance of the ramps.

 

The hourly parking rate in the ramps would be 75 cents, after three hours of free parking.
