Shamrock Club Tours La Crosse Today
March the 17th means a marathon of Irish pride for members of La Crosse’s
Shamrock Club. Club members make about a dozen stops today to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with singing and dancing. School visits in the morning, and senior centers in the afternoon. Lunch and happy hour at the View Restaurant. Leading the festivities is this year’s Irish Man for the Shamrock Club, Mark Barton:
The club also chose Kathleen Ryan as the Irish Rose for 2014. Besides the official Shamrock Club tour, members also plan to take part in the point-oh-1-K run and walk on Pearl Street around 6 o’clock tonight.
