Who Got The Hundred Grand?

Two groups of community agencies came up with plans to help folks in the

Coulee Region be less hungry. Last night, the Franke Foundation of La Crosse announced which group won the 100-thousand dollar grant in the ‘Food for All’ contest.  It was the Hillview Urban Agriculture Center, which is involved in the new greenhouse project downtown near Western Tech.  We asked Foundation director Mel Hoffman how his organization will tell if the project is succeeding:

The contest organizers wanted ideas on growing more food, preventing waste, and getting families to avoid high-fat and high-calorie meals.
