Walker Supports Common Core Board

governor’s office and legislative leaders to review the state’s implementation of Common Core education standards is in the senate’s hands. We talked with Governor Scott Walk, a supporter of the measure.
Republicans, including Walker, have said they support higher Wisconsin specific education standards, while Democrats and the state superintendent say the standards are rigorous and school districts have already spent hundreds of millions of dollars implementing them.
