Cops In Court Today

Two long-time La Crosse policemen are expected in court today, on separate

criminal charges. Sergeant Alan Iverson has been jailed in Vernon County since late last week.  Iverson has a court hearing on charges of allegedly threatening to hurt his family during a domestic incident.  A La Crosse judge set his bond at 100-thousand dollars.

 

And today is the day former policeman Brian Thomson is scheduled to be sentenced in a La Crosse courtroom.  A Monroe County judge is being brought in for the sentencing, to avoid conflict of interest.  Thomson lost his job last summer when the department caught him trying to steal drugs from a police evidence room.
