Kabat Wants A Sit A Down
La Crosse’s mayor would love if his police chief and the circuit court judges
could see each other eye-to-eye. But mayor Tim Kabat has tried to broker a meeting between chief Ron Tischer and the judges over a perceived soft on crime approach from the bench with not much success. Kabat says he’d like both sides to get a good view of the bigger picture
Tischer has complained openly about how the judges deliver minimal bond conditions and middling sentences to criminals who return to the streets and commit further crimes.
