Obi Christenson………A Winner……..Period!

He didn’t really win, but thanks to an outpouring of support and a push from a famous Green Bay Packer, an 8 year old La Crescent boy’s designs will be seen all over the world. In the end, he did win.

 

Obi Christenson, a little boy who suffers from neuroblastoma cancer, entered the White Cloud Tissue Miracle Designs contest.  The top three selected designs will appear on White Cloud facial tissue boxes. The designs were submitted to Facebook and the nation had to vote for their favorities. Even future Hall of Fame Quaterback, Brett Favre, on his website, had a message looking for support for Obi. But at the end of the contest, Obi finished in fourth place by 82 votes. But a loss by Obi was not in the cards.

 

The little girl that took third place in the contest, posted a message on the White Cloud Facebook page saying that she would prefer the company to award third place to Obi instead.  And win he did. White Cloud decided to make Obi an honorary fourth place finisher.  Now, Obi along with the other three winners, will have their designs featured on the tissue boxes. They will also receive a one year supply of White Cloud products, and they have earned a $15 thousand donation to their Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, which in Obi’s case, is Gunderson Health System in La Crosse.
