Rental Moratorium Gains Extension

Another three months for a moratorium in La Crosse that doesn’t allow single family homes to be turned into rentals.  The city council agrees to the rental conversion moratorium extension at a meeting Thursday night.  But that’s no way to encourage single family home ownership and fix up neighborhoods argues landlord, Rick Hamilton; that takes a bolder approach

 

 

 

Backers of the moratorium insist the additional three months will allow a special committee to finish its work on identifying ways to fix some of La Crosse’s housing problems.
