Associated Bank Proposed As New Site For County Offices

A new last-minute option has emerged in the talks about the future of the La Crosse County administrative center…

According to the agenda for a county committee meeting next week, there’s a plan for the county to buy the Associated Bank building at 6th and State. That would depend on whether Associated buys part of the block used for parking by the current La Crosse courthouse. Time is running out for the county board to accept an offer to buy the administrative center, which used to house the courthouse and jail. La Crosse County also has the option to add space onto the county health building, or to refuse to sell the administrative center.
