Sargent Says Let The Counties Choose

Legislation being circulated in Madison would let individual counties accept

federal Badgercare funding without the governor’s approval. The bills author is Melissa Sargent, State Representative and Dane County Board Human Services Chair.

She says a memo from the state’s Legislative Fiscal Bureau, shows over 84 thousand state residents could use that money….4 thousand in La Crosse County alone. That would amount to $117 thousand that could come into the county for Badgercare recipients. Sargent, says let counties choose. Give them the power.
