Sidewalk Cruisin’ In Sparta Leads To Arrest

A Sparta man may learn that sidewalks are for walking on, not driving a car

on.

 

On Saturday, an officer was about to step out of his car in the downtown area when he heard a car’s engine racing and then saw the car accelerate rapidly through the downtown. The officer was able to get to behind the car and attempted to stop it. The driver, 30 year old Unberto Segundo Moreno from Sparta, eventually drove up onto the sidewalk and continued south until reaching the parking lot of the Scottish Inn.

Cops says Moreno showed signs of being drunk and lied about his name. After his arrest, cops found a small plastic bag containing cocaine. Moreno faces a list of charges.
