Shilling Votes No On Senate Health Care Change

The Wisconsin state senate voted Thursday to keep 72

thousand residents from being taken off the state’s health coverage plan for its low income residents. A bad move says Democratic State Senator, Jennifer Shilling.

Shilling says Wisconsinites earning more than 100 percent of the federal poverty line will be shifted off BadgerCare and into the Obamacare exchange to purchase insurance on April 1st. An estimated 83 thousand residents living below the federal poverty line who would become newly eligible for the program January 1st will now have to wait the three months. Governor Walker said he will sign the measure soon.
