Winona Diocese Lists 14 Priests Accused Of Abusing Minors

The Catholic Diocese of Winona is admitting that 14 priests who served in the diocese have been formally accused of sexually abusing minors.

Nine of the priests on the Winona list are dead. None of the surviving five are still actively employed as priests. One actually was removed from the priesthood four years ago, and is now being sued by a man who claims the former priest abused him in the 1970’s. The names were released by the diocese at the request of a group representing victims of clergy abuse.
