Law Could End La Crosse Rental Rules
La Crosse’s rental registration and inspection process may need some major revamping. Governor Walker has signed into law legislation that restricts the ability of municipalities to regulate rental properties. A really bad thing for the city depending on the impact of the law, says La Crosse mayor Tim Kabat
The rental law changes come at a time when the city council is on the verge of considering new rules that could have led to more significant fines for not registering rental properties in a timely way.
