Fast Food Demonstration Draws Few in Support of Higher Wages
Not a great day for a demonstration in downtown La Crosse today. Only about a dozen braved the bitter cold and wind at the Burger King downtown while they advocated for higher wages for low wage workers. The demonstration was part of the larger, national union-organized movement held today in a hundred different cities where fast food workers actually walked off the job to demand wages of $15 per hour. No fast food workers appeared to be joining in at the La Crosse demonstration.
