AARP Response To Governor’s Health Care Speech

Wisconsin AARP’s Helen Marks Dicks commented today on Governor Walker’s

health coverage press conference Thursday.

But Marks Dicks is urging the governor not to overlook his promise to another vulnerable population, 85 thousand low income childless adults. Walker’s proposal would allow about 77 thousand adults in Medicaid, or BadgerCare to remain on the program through March 31st. Another bill would extend the state’s Health Insurance Risk Sharing Plan, which has about 25 thousand people, through the end of March.
