Losing Badgercare, Thousands Hope for Online Marketplace Fix
It’s beginning to look a lot like crunch time. Especially for those 77 thousand or so in Wisconsin who are getting kicked off the state’s Badgercare health system with the expectations that they will find health insurance coverage through the federal online health care exchange. Their Badgercare coverage ends on January first. Pretty uncertain that they will have coverage through the online marketplace by then. Causing some fear for about three thousand people in La Crosse county who would be affected, says Trish Wavra in county human services
Wavra has hopes the state will push back the date that Badgercare ends for those who are losing their coverage.
