Halloween Night Crash

A Halloween night collision in the Genoa area…

Two cars crashed head-on,

when one driver crossed over the center line of Highway 35, just after 11 p-m.  Benjamin Smith of Genoa collided with a car driven by Paul Johnson of De Soto, and then overturned in a ditch.  Smith reportedly had a cut on the head, but did not seek treatment.  He could be charged with first-offense drunk driving.  Johnson was transported to a La Crosse hospital for evaluation.
