Xcel Turning Off Entire Village for Upgrades

An entire village in Western Wisconsin will be without electricity today.  And that’s just the way Xcel energy has planned it.  The little village of Fairchild in Eau Claire county will get turned off in order to do some upgrades

 

 

 

Xcel’s Brian Elwood says fifty crews are descending on Fairchild this morning to do the necessary upgrades.  The company and village timed the work to coincide with a day off of school at the local elementary.
