Mayor Budget Plan Lowers Taxes Slightly

City property taxes could actually drop in La Crosse next year.  A little.  Owner of the average home in La Crosse will pay eight cents less to the city than this year’s tax bill.  A recognition, says mayor Tim Kabat, that we’re not out of the woods yet

The budget proposal that Kabat will present to the city’s budget committee next week includes three percent raises for city employees.
