Facebook Drug Scam

Scammers are out and about again….this time on Facebook. According to the Tomah Police Department, several alerts from concerned citizens have come in about people attempting to sell prescription medications on Facebook, specifically the Tomah Buy, Sell, Trade Facebook page.

According to police, the majority of these people selling prescription drugs are either using fictitious accounts or are generated from a foreign country.

It’s good practice to simply ignore these posts. If someone is in need of medication it is recommended they seek counsel from a licensed physician. Police want you to continue to report these pages as they research each one to determine if there are any actions they can take.
