Parade Route Might Not Need Permits After All

Turns out, enforcing the rules isn’t so horrible after all.  At least that appears to be the experience of La Crosse city workers who were tasked with keeping early Oktoberfest Maple Leaf parade watchers off of the right of way until early Saturday morning

Mayor Tim Kabat says, based on the good experience of enforcing squatters rights in the right of way along the parade route, he may reconsider the idea of selling parade viewing permits for Oktoberfest next year.
