Saturday Drowning Victim UPDATE;

La Crosse police have identified the man that drowned in an area of Swift

Creek Saturday. He’s 21 year old Justin Wright of Holmen.

 

On Saturday around 4:30pm, the La Crosse Police Department, along with the La Crosse Fire Department, La Crosse Dive Unit and Tri-State Ambulance were called to the area of Swift Creek behind 700 Benora Lee Court for a possible drowning.

 

Two witnesses had been swimming with Wright, when he became fatigued and went under the water and did not resurface. The witnesses contacted 911 upon swimming to shore. Wright was located by Dive Rescue in the area that he had last been seen. He was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
