Supervisors Petition For Lower Number Of Supervisors

A petition drive in Monroe County recently was a success according to one

county board member. Pete Peterson of Tomah says they collected signatures to downsize the county board from 24 to 16. The same board he sits on. What drove the signature drive?

If the referendum makes the 2014 ballot, voters would just be voting whether the number of supervisors should be reduced. The reduction would take place starting in 2016 following a redistricting process.
