Singers Take On Local Bar Owner. Claims Of Racism and Bigotry
Taking a stand against race and bigotry. That’s what a pair of Grand Rivers Singers say they are doing against the owner of Shooters bar in La Crosse. Vanessa Blackwell and Robert Jones claim that David Rudrud went into a profanity laced tirade last weekend after the pair, and others, were kicked out of the bar after questioning why Blackwell was carded three times. Now the two have hired an attorney.
Attorney Phil Addis told us what the pair want.
Addis says a time line to follow through with the apologies was given to Rudrud though as of today they were not met. Rudrud has hired an attorney and told Addis he hopes for a peaceful resolution. Calls made to Rudrud were unsuccessful .
