Cig Tax Drives People To Quit Smoking

During the first two weeks of July, calls to the Minnesota quit smoking QUITPLAN Helpline saw a 256% increase over last July’s volumes. Visits to the quitplan.com website increased 289%. That’s since the cigarette tax went up a buck 60. We asked spokesman, Mike Sheldon if this is deterring people from going to other states to but cheaper smokes.
