Suspect Charged With Two Fall Holdups

HE WAS ALREADY CHARGED WITH THE ARMED HOLDUP OF A POPULAR LA CROSSE ICE CREAM STORE…

NOW, JUSTIN PURDY IS THE SUSPECT IN ANOTHER ARMED ROBBERY THAT HAPPENED TWO WEEKS LATER IN THE SAME NEIGHBORHOOD. THE FIRST ROBBERY OCCURRED OCTOBER 20TH AT RANISON ICE CREAM ON 16TH STREET…WHILE THE SECOND WAS AT THE BEAD SHOPPE IN NEARBY JACKSON PLAZA ON NOVEMBER 4TH. PURDY WAS BROUGHT TO COURT A WEEK AFTER THE BEAD SHOPPE HOLDUP TO FACE A CHARGE IN THE RANISON ROBBERY. ANALYSIS OF D-N-A FROM A SHIRT AND GLOVE FOUND NEAR THE BEAD SHOPPE LED POLICE TO PURDY. HE MADE HIS FIRST COURT APPEARANCE ON THE NEW CHARGE ON FRIDAY. PURDY’S BOND IS 50-THOUSAND DOLLARS CASH.
