OTTERS AND COUGARS AND BEARS…WHERE ARE THEY?

THE MAJOR ANIMAL DISPLAYS PLANNED FOR THE MYRICK HIXON ECO-PARK IN LA CROSSE ARE STILL ABOUT A YEAR AWAY. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JIM GALLAGHER SAYS PLENTY OF CONSTRUCTION IS IN THE WORKS AT THE PARK FOR THIS YEAR, WITH ANIMALS NOT DUE FOR LIVE EXHIBIT UNTIL THE SUMMER OF 2011.

 

MEANWHILE, GALLAGHER SAYS THE NEW ECO-CENTER BUILDING AT MYRICK HAS BEEN BUSY THROUGHOUT THE WINTER…WITH SCHOOL GROUPS AND LOCAL CLUBS VISITING. NEXT WEEK, LIVE RAPTORS WILL BE DISPLAYED AT THE BUILDING, AS PART OF AN EXHIBIT ON PEREGRINE FALCONS.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
