IN MANY WAYS, THE INTERNET IS REPLACING THE POST OFFICE AS A NORMAL WAY TO COMMUNICATE…

A SHARP DROP IN THE VOLUME OF ITEMS BEING MAILED HAS FORCED THE POSTAL SERVICE TO REVIVE THE IDEA OF ENDING SATURDAY DELIVERIES. IRONICALLY, MARGE OEHLKE FROM THE REGIONAL OFFICE OF THE POSTAL SERVICE IN MILWAUKEE SAYS MORE PEOPLE ARE GOING ON-LINE TO HANDLE THEIR REGULAR MAIL, AT THE OFFICIAL POST OFFICE WEBSITE.

 

OEHLKE SAYS THE POSTAL SERVICE WILL ALWAYS BE NEEDED FOR IMPORTANT BUSINESS DELIVERIES, EVEN AS THE AMOUNT OF PERSONAL MAIL GOES DOWN.
