Ramp Negotiations With Sense of Urgency

It’s March. Spring is nearly upon us. The time for breaking ground for big construction projects is close at hand.

 

Projects like the third Riverside Center building in La Crosse. Developer Don Weber says he’d like to break ground within weeks on the third building south of Riverside Park. But he’s also said he’d like a deal with the city on a new parking ramp before that happens. This could be his day. The city council committee charged with hammering out that ramp deal meets again this evening with Weber representatives. Even if a deal is reached tonight in that committee, the full city council would have to vote to approve.
