TIME TO TAKE THE CENSUS

THE MORE PEOPLE WHO ANSWER THE CENSUS, THE MORE MONEY YOU GET.

TIM ACKLIN OF LA CROSSE’S CITY PLANNING DEPARTMENT SEES THAT AS A GOOD INCENTIVE FOR FOLKS TO COMPLETE THEIR FEDERAL CENSUS FORMS THIS YEAR. HE SAYS A HIGHER POPULATION HELPS BRING MORE GOVERNMENT GRANT MONEY TO A COMMUNITY. ACKLIN HEARD FROM A REGIONAL CENSUS REPRESENTATIVE THAT THIS REGION DOESN’T DO SUCH A GOOD JOB OF RESPONDING TO THE POPULATION COUNT.  ABOUT 30 PER CENT OF LA CROSSE CITY RESIDENTS DID NOT FILL OUT THOSE FORMS IN 2000.  TIM SAYS WE SHOULD SEE ADS IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS, ENCOURAGING EVERYONE TO FILL OUT THE CENSUS FORMS THAT WILL BE IN THE MAIL THROUGHOUT MARCH.

Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
