THE PLANES WILL BE FLYING TO KEEP TREES FROM DYING…

THE WISCONSIN AG DEPARTMENT IS PREPARING TO SPRAY CHEMICALS IN 20 COUNTIES THIS YEAR, TO CONTROL THE SPREAD OF THE GYPSY MOTH. THOSE TREATMENTS MAY KILL CATERPILLARS, OR ELSE KEEP THEM FROM MATING. AN AG DEPARTMENT SPOKESWOMAN SAYS MUCH OF THE LA CROSSE AREA WILL BE TREATED.  THE CHEMICALS BEING SPRAYED SHOULD NOT HARM PEOPLE OR PLANTS…BUNOISE FROM THE PLANES COULD DISTURB PETS.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
