Principal faces charges for scrubbing obscene word off student's hand

Written by

The principal at a school in Crawford County faces criminal charges for going to the janitor's office to scrub an obscene word off a teenager's hand.

Principal Aaron Amundson at Bluff View Middle School in Prairie du Chien is charged with physical abuse of a child.

According to the complaint, one student wrote the obscenity on another student's hand. Amundson took the 14-year-old boy with the offending word on his hand to the janitor's room and used a chemical and scrubbing pad to get the word off.

The boy said he got severe chemical burns from the cleaning solution.
