Riverfront, which helps those with disabilities, changing name to Aptiv

Written by

The local service agency now known as Riverfront is getting a new name.

As of December, the agency will be called Aptiv.

The organization, which helps people with disabilities, says its activities and mission have changed a bit since it was started 40 years ago.

The name Aptiv is derived from words such as aptitude and active. It also is meant to set Riverfront apart from commercial businesses with similar names.
